Ad maiorem Dei gloriam
Aaron Walker has been a furniture finisher, demolition worker, theater technician, and unlicensed clinical psychologist. In 2014, he graduated from the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts where his hobbies included preaching against nihilism and screening Žižek films to uninterested high-schoolers.
He went on to enroll in the honors program at Loyola University New Orleans where he discovered the grueling torture of seminar classes at universities with 70% acceptance rates. He dropped out and eventually moved to San Diego to work at GlockStore (the #1 global retailer of Glock parts & accessories) where he was eventually fired under suspicious circumstances.
In the winter of 2017, he documented the lives of homeless anarchists as they train hopped and dumpster-dived across the American South. The footage was never recovered.
After a family crisis pulled him off the road and back to Louisiana, he moved to Greenville, South Carolina and got a job with Lever Gear: an EDC start up. He eventually took over 4 other people’s job, had an existential crisis, and shaved his head. He quit with 3 months notice and started the Southbound Street Band. Together he and his band spread punky bluegrass across Walmarts and city streets all over the Appalachians.
Along the way he met up with a mobile free food kitchen operating out of a converted school bus. With this kitchen, he fed homeless dudes in Southern cities and wingnut hippies at Rainbow Gatherings. Both his band and the kitchen would disband in Florida in the Winter of 2019. He now produces solo music under the name Sorrow Bound.
When he is not digging in dumpsters, busking, or shooting guns, you can find him painting, illustrating, drinking excessively, learning the fiddle, gardening, and feverishly debating the regulars at your local coffee shop.
For the past year, busking has been his primary source of income. Due to the COVID outbreak, he can no longer do this. Please consider supporting him with a one-time donation on PayPal or monthly via Patreon.
